Januari 2005, hari pertama saya bekerja di tahun 2005. dalam perjalanan ke kantor, saya melewati jembatan layang di atas rel kereta stasiun tebet, menuju arah tomang-grogol-tangerang. udara pagi itu {pk.05:45} mendung, dengan gerimis yang tidak deras. udaranya sejuk, dan ada sedikit sinar matahari yang mencuri sela diantara awan-awan yang berbaris rapat. di langit lepas yang sedikit biru gelap,saya melihat pelangi! warna-warna itu terlihat sangat jelas karena latar belakang langit yang biru gelap. astaga! indah sekali pelanginya! tak biasanya pelangi terlihat samar dan kabur, tapi kali ini sangat jelas terlihat. Ternyata Tuhan dengan sekejap,bisa membuat keindahan. namun dapat sekejap pula mengubah
keindahan menjadi porak poranda seperti di aceh dan sekitarnya. betapa kecil manusia bila dihadapkan pada kekuasaanNya!

seorang teman lama saya,penerbang junior TNI angkatan darat suatu waktu bercerita pada
saya -setelah ia pertama kalinya menerbangkan pesawat hercules dengan ketinggian ribuan kaki dari darat-. jam terbang pertamanya ia ceritakan dalam emailnya yang saya terima di akhir tahun 2004

".....dari ruang kemudi,saya melihat hamparan daratan dengan batas cakrawala. langit begitu luas terbentang.daratan menjadi tak seberapa luas bila dibanding semesta. betapa kecilnya manusia dari atas langit luas. tak seberapa dibanding luas dan megahnya langit-semesta-cakrawala. kita bisa terus bertanya, alasan apa manusia menjadi sombong dan ingin menguasai dunia dan sesamanya, bila dari ribuan kaki langit semesta raya, manusia seperti sebutir debu di tengah luasnya samudera....."

Lagu berjudul "betapa mulia nama tuhan", lagu karangan tom fettkeyang diterjemahkan dari syair aslinya "the majesty and glory of your name"yang dikarang pertengahan tahun 1979,menjadi sebuah lagu yang sangat bermakna
ketika saya menyanyikannya dalam festival paduan suara gerejawi di yogya tahun 1999. refleksi saya terhadap lagu ini,mengingatkan kita, betapa kita hanya sebutir debu di tengah alam raya ini.
tapi, siapakah aku (kita semua) siapakah aku (kita)yang telah dikau (Allah) sayang? sehingga kita diberi kemuliaan dan hormat untuk layak diselamatkan?

prayer of st.patrick

Have you ever known "Prayer of St.Patrick"? i know this prayer from the song with the same title arranged by John Rutter. This prayer was composed by Saint Patrick in the year 433. He was aware that there was an ambush to try to kill him and his group en route to the King's court. It was during the march that they chanted the Deer's Cry. As the druids lay in hiding, ready to kill, it is said that they saw not Patrick and his men, but a gentle doe followed by twenty fawns. The miracle saved Patrick and his men.

The sentences that highlighted with yellow is the a part of the prayer that was taken by John Rutter as the lyrics for the song that he arranged. Through singing this songs, we learn to believe that God is around us, everywhere..anywhere..,as long as we believe in His strength.

I arise today through a mighty strength, the invocation of the Trinity, through belief in the Threeness, through confession of the Oneness of the Creator of creation.

I arise today through the strength of Christ with his Baptism, through the strength of His Crucifixion with His Burial through the strength of His Resurrection with His Ascension, through the strength of His descent for the Judgment of Doom.

for the glory of the lord

i can't imagine and can't figure it out if someday in my future i told my self "..i will never do singing again...!!" by the way, sunday Jan 9th 2005 was my first singing practice in the year of 2005. took place in ignatius-loyola church - jalan malang, i did my first choir rehearsal with my friends in cantiamo corale. my friend, yanti started our rehearsal with a nice prayer, that remind me and all of us to keep our commitment, to do singing to glorify the Lord through others. retha also give us a powerfull vocalizing for bringing back our voice that was 'voiceless' during the x'mas and new year holiday for almost 3 weeks. the last vocalizing material was taken from a christian song titled "Alleluya,Puji Tuhan.."

for an almost 120-minutes-rehearsal,we learned 2 songs composed by G.F.Handel, and taken from the Messiah series. They are "worthy is the lamb" and "and the glory of the lord". we are planning to prepare those songs for our easter mass service on this year.

Even we haven't mastered the songs yet, at least we've known the melody. it's very challanging us to learn new songs in the new spirit of new year..!thanks god i had known those songs before, bcoz i've learned them first from magnificat choir, so that i could help another altos to read the note. a nice part from "and the glory.." is...

and the glory, the glory of the lord shall be revealed..,shall be revealed...!!!

thank you lord for starting my first choir rehearsal through knowing you from every piece of the song that i sing. blessed are all the songs aimed to glorify your name! amen

cantiamo xmas 2004

me and my friends at cantiamo choir!, celebrating christmas 2004. The occasions was held on Dec 18, 2004 in Aston Hotel and Apartment-Lippo Sudirman. Look at our face...!! some of them looks older..than b4 =) xpecially for them who has married and 've got children..!! Merry Xmas 2 you all..!!

our 'rule' on that night was all of us has to wear "yellow" clothes or any "yellow" things as accessories. But four of them in the photograph were using "un-yellow" clothes or accessories (including me=), wearing green t-shirt). so we were 'in-jail' for 10 minutes to dance!! =)) from left to right : iwan-me-olive-eko

we also had a 'cross-gift' section. everyone bring their xmas gift to cross with another wrapped with the same gift-wrapper -newspaper. i got 2 photo-frames from iwan. hay..! look at the 2 guys above..!!, both 2 tenors got the same gifts, a-pig doll for them..!! hah..!! bcoz u're too much to eat a pig,guys..!

look at our dinner menu, mixed with alot of food from us. there're a sak-sang (traditional batak's food), siomay, meatball soup, fried noodles, sambal andaliman, pangsit, rice, martabak, fruits, softdrinks, ice cream, beer..greensands..!! yummmy...

new baby and mangiare

one day in December 2004 (i forgot the precise date!) i went -with my gank-of-four =) to visit our new brother named F.X.Bayuaji Kristanto.Koesadyanti is his mother, and Hari is his father. Hari is devi's brother and koes is our ex-psgsj (atma jaya choir) coordinator and also conductor. we take the photograph in koes-hari's house in Bogor.and see...!!, we are wearing the same colour of t-shirt...BLACK..!! even we're not arrange it before we met..! just a concidence? or...uhm...or...ah..you named it..!! by the way..congratulation for the new baby born!!

after the visit to koes-hari's house, we went to cafe mangiare -still in the bogor area- to celebrate yanti's 27th birthday =). what a delicious food that i ate there..!!, even i just order an oxtail soup, the taste is different..!! that make me give a 'no comment'reaction about the food..!! readers, i highly recommend this cafe if you have any chance to go to Bogor! this cafe offer a variety list of food -local recipe and also western food- don't forget to order lasagna..! and also the noodle..! and the taste are outstanding,also the other menu there (i can't memorize them all..!) the chef also have the unique taste of beverages mixed with the imported ingredients. thanks to mrs.rein wattimena who is the owner of this cafe, for your time for explaining all the process of making food and running this cafe' business. readers, forget the name of gumati cafe, which just offer a beautiful view but not a delicious food =), simply go to the cafe mangiare which has a more delicious food ever..!

mirella, felicia and satria (they are son and daughter of mr/mrs.rein wattimena-the owner of this cafe, and also our friend in atma jaya choir) now i know why you are the best -food tester- =)) coz ur dady and mom are expert in cooking delicious food! hahahahahaha...miss you all sis..!!
